The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 5am-1:30pm, 7am-3:30pm or 9am-5:30pm OUR TEAM Our Product Finishing team plays a critical role in getting Promega's life science tools into the hands of researchers around the world. We're a hands-on, detail-oriented group that takes pride in the precision and care that goes into every kit we assemble - because we know that the quality of our work directly impacts the science our customers depend on. We operate in a fast-paced production environment where teamwork is everything; we cross-train across product areas, support one another on complex packaging tasks, and hold ourselves accountable for both the quality of our work and the safety of our shared workspace. YOUR ROLE As a Packaging Technician I, you'll be at the heart of our production process - pulling components from inventory, assembling kits and sub-assemblies, and ensuring every product is accurately labeled and documented before it leaves our hands. You'll work from quality system documents including kit packaging diagrams, maintain process orders in our ERP system, and assist with inventory as needed. No two days are identical; cross-training across different product finishing areas means you'll continually build new skills and stay engaged with the work. This is a role where your attention to detail, organizational instincts, and reliability make a real difference - and where showing up with a positive, team-first attitude is just as valued as technical execution. CORE DUTIES: 1. Label components and kits accurately. 2. Accurate documentation of processes and various run sheets. 3. Staging and locating product. 4. Operate and set-up equipment according to process. 5. Maintaining and closing process orders in the ERP system. 7. Cross training in various product finishing areas. 8. Assist others on kit packaging tasks. 9. Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity and respect for others. 11. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School diploma or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role. 2. Ability to work quickly and accurately 3. Competency in general math. 4. General computer knowledge. 5. Good organizational and prioritization skills. 6. Ability to work in a team environment. 7. Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Prior experience working in a scientific environment with exposure to various production and packaging equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Manual dexterity to assemble kits and dispense product. 2. Ability to occasionally move, lift and lower objects weighing up to 75 lbs. 3. Ability to move up to 300 lbs. on a dolly and 500 lbs. on a pallet jack occasionally. 4. Ability to move in and out of freezers up to -20 degrees C 5. Ability to stand for several hours at a time. 6. Ability to bend multiple times per day. 7. Ability to use hands for repetitive motions throughout shift. 8. Visual acuity for quality inspections. 9. Ability to use computer and telephone equipment.
