GENERAL FUNCTION

The Project Manager- IT EssilorLuxottica North America is responsible for the management of IT demand related to Sunglass Hut, Oakley, Ray-Ban, and Oliver Peoples retail locations in US and Canada. The position will report to the Senior Director- IT of Retail Demand.

This position will be instrumental the management of EssilorLuxottica North America Retail IT projects, delivery, and support. Your responsibilities will include overseeing projects related to various hardware and software applications utilized within stores, facilitating communication with cross-functional stakeholders to define functional requirements, and providing regular status updates to company leadership.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Establish strategic relationships with various internal teams and external vendors
  • Document business requirements and manage business prioritization
  • Plan project timelines and facilitate meetings to provide updates to key stakeholders and track deliverables while mitigating risks to project timeline and budget
  • Monitor support channels to identify gaps and proactively uncover opportunities for process improvement
  • Communicate project statuses and widespread issues with influence, transparency, and urgency


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:



  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the proficiency to negotiate and persuade using business and technical terminology
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail store technology
  • Ability to lead technical and business resources while maintaining internal and external relationships
  • Capacity to manage multiple, concurrent project workstreams of varying sizes and complexities, remaining flexible for shifts in prioritization
  • Proficiency in fostering a collaborative environment that motivates the team to mobilize when necessary to address challenging and intricate problems
  • Confident, independent, self-motivated team player
  • Outstanding attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Clear understanding of the project management processes, strategies and methodologies
  • Software experience desired, but not required: Oracle Xstore, Microsoft M365 Office suite, Microsoft Active Directory/LDAP, Oracle SQL Developer, SAP Business Objects, SAP Hana/Fiori, Claude or Copilot/ChatGPT.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 or more years with Information Systems or Business-related experience that includes retail store systems/applicatons
  • 2 or more years experience working in project management
