THE ROLE:

You will join AMD's Test Engineering team, working at the intersection of software, silicon, and manufacturing. In this role, you will help bring new AMD microprocessors to market by developing test software, enabling ATE test content, and supporting silicon bringup through debug and data analysis. You'll collaborate closely with design, product engineering, and global manufacturing teams, gaining exposure to cuttingedge technology and influencing product readiness at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop test software, ATE test content, and test programs for nextgeneration microprocessors.
  • Support silicon bringup, including pattern conversion, timing validation, and debug.
  • Analyze test data and drive rootcause investigations to improve yield, cost, and quality.
  • Lead the integration and release of test programs to highvolume manufacturing.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to ensure correlation across lab, factory, and customer environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and contribute to improvements in tools, methods, and processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Scripting or programming (Python, Perl, C++, Java, etc.)
  • Semiconductor product development
  • ATE test development (vectors, timing, diagnostics)
  • Pattern generation/conversion
  • Debug across hardware, software, or manufacturing
  • Linux/UNIX and version control tools
  • Familiarity with JTAG IEEE 1149.1 and HDLs
  • Agile methodologies; experience with highvolume manufacturing test release
  • Collaboration with distributed engineering teams

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Preferred: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
