Senior Content Strategist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Content Strategist for a contract position with a major financial services company in Milwaukee, WI. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity.

Pay range: $47.52 - $49.50 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level.

This role supports the Thought Leadership and Content Marketing team, assisting with the execution of content strategies to position the client as a leading voice in the financial industry. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in personal finance and economic trends and will be responsible for content production, performance reporting, and workflow management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementing content strategy for the creation, delivery, and governance of content such as articles, videos, webinars, and podcasts
• Execute detailed quarterly and weekly reports to track the performance and impact of thought leadership and content marketing initiatives
• Identify and help implement measurement best practices to enhance the effectiveness and reach of content efforts
• Leverage data and research to evaluate content's impact and succinctly present and rationalize work to stakeholders
• Write clear, consistent copy focused on consumer and client experiences
• Manage the internal review process, including routing content through subject matter experts (SMEs), compliance, and other business partners using Workfront and Jira
• Adhere strictly to brand voice, tone, and style requirements in all written materials

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of previous experience in content strategy, creation, PR, communications, or a similar role
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance) is a significant plus
• AP Style writer with strong writing and editing skills and command of the English language (grammar, spelling, and vocabulary)
• A demonstrated interest in personal finance, financial planning, or economic trends
• Familiar with data-driven approaches that consider business metrics, site assessment, competitive analysis, and research
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to ever-changing priorities
• A proactive collaborator who seeks clarity, works to build consensus, and can work independently to execute tasks

Desired skills:

• Direct experience or familiarity with Workfront and Jira for project management
• Comfortable working within a CMS (Drupal, WordPress, HubSpot, or similar)
• Knowledge of basic SEO and analytics tracking (e.g., Adobe Analytics)
