Job Description

Position Summary:

The Material Planner will perform general planning duties to support the operations, including but not limited to:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Material Planner will report to the Production Control Manager
  • Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company's commitment to quality and safety.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to shift times or a pre-arranged work schedule.
  • Work under limited supervision following standardized procedures
  • Kit Jobs - primary part of the role is allocating component parts to jobs
  • Inventory- Adjusts inventory when needed, troubleshoots inventory issues
  • Cycle Counting
  • Allocating Bosses to jobs
  • Allocating Sheet Material to jobs from Laser, Turning & Shear
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Conduct Root Cause Corrective Action
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP/Purchasing concepts, administration and execution
  • Ability to perform tasks involving Microsoft Office software i.e. Word/Excel/Power Point

. Education/Certifications:

  • Inventory experience, computer knowledge and experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting: 70% of the time
  • Standing: 5% of the time
  • Walking: 25% of the time
  • Lifting or Carrying: Max 35lbs
