We are currently seeking an Epic EHR Manager of Delivery & Technical Excellence to join our Healthcare Technology Consulting Services team. The Manager will operate across multiple Epic engagements and will be responsible for driving high-quality delivery across implementation, optimization, and stabilization services.

The Manager will leverage deep technical expertise in the Healthcare IT industry, with a focus on Epic EHR implementations and optimization, combined with strong project management, delivery leadership, and team development skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing Epic projects or major workstreams, stabilizing complex engagements, and supporting proposal and scope development.

This role requires a delivery-focused leader who can balance hands-on Epic consulting work with project management responsibilities, internal team leadership, and practice development. This role will include active management of projects, workstreams, and delivery governance.

As a Healthcare Consulting Manager, you will need to:

  • Perform hands-on Epic delivery work across implementations, optimizations, and stabilization engagements.

  • Serve as an Epic project manager or workstream lead on client engagements as needed.

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource allocations.

  • Lead or support workflow design, build validation, testing, go-live readiness, and post-go-live support activities.

  • Manage or oversee multiple client engagements or workstreams concurrently.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to client operational, IT, and project leadership stakeholders.

  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and lead resolution efforts.

  • Stabilize engagements when scope, timelines, or delivery quality begin to drift.

  • Drive consistent delivery standards across Epic engagements.

  • Ensure solutions align with Epic best practices and long-term sustainability.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex Epic delivery or project issues.

  • Establish and manage project governance, status reporting, and cadence in the absence of a centralized PMO.

  • Support and mentor supervisors, senior associates, and consultants.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Epic implementation, optimization, and support methodologies.

  • Create and maintain delivery templates, playbooks, tools, and standards.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement delivery best practices.

  • Partner with practice leadership and marketing teams to package delivery services into clear, marketable offerings.

  • Support the Growth Director by defining scopes, timelines, and staffing models for standardized solution packages.

  • Participate in interviewing, evaluating, and onboarding Epic consultants.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and delivery guidance to team members.

  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and client presentations as needed.

  • Provide delivery-grounded input into scope, effort estimates, timelines, and staffing models.

  • Assist in building or reviewing Statements of Work to ensure scope clarity and delivery realism.

  • Identify scope changes and support change order development.

  • Partner with leadership to monitor project financials, utilization, and margin health.

  • Model the firm's core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, excellence, and stewardship in all interactions.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • 8+ years of hands-on Epic implementation, optimization, or support experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing Epic projects, implementations, or major workstreams.

  • Epic certification in at least one Epic application (multiple certifications preferred).

  • Prior consulting or multi-client delivery experience.

  • Strong understanding of Epic workflows, implementation lifecycle, and operational impacts.

  • Experience managing project plans, timelines, risks, and client expectations.

  • Proven ability to manage or support multiple concurrent engagements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with client stakeholders.

  • Ability to balance billable delivery responsibilities with leadership and practice-building activities.

  • Willingness and ability to travel (50% - 75%) as needed for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Epic consulting experience.

  • Multiple Epic certifications across clinical or revenue cycle modules.

  • Former Epic employment.

  • Experience serving as an Epic project manager or implementation lead.

  • Experience supporting go-lives and post-go-live stabilization.

  • Experience mentoring consulting staff or leading small delivery teams.

  • Experience contributing to RFPs, proposals, or marketing materials.

  • Experience working in a high-growth or evolving consulting practice

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $107,000 - $214,500

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
