Job Description

We are hiring motivated students for our Technology Rotational Program. The program will introduce new graduates to Quest Diagnostics through a challenging and rewarding experience, which offers them the opportunity to rotate through three business areas, 8 months each over a two-year period. The aim is to use this program as a pathway to placement in one of the business areas mentioned.

Quest's Technology Rotational Program is open to students who have graduated college within the last year from an undergraduate or master's program.

It is preferred that these positions are based in our Schaumburg, IL office on a hybrid basis (2-3 days in office per week). This will allow the rotational candidate to collaborate with other IT colleagues and peers. We are open to candidates in other Quest locations based on business needs.

  2. Infrastructure (Workplace Solutions, Field Services Support, IT Service Management)
  3. Strategy & Portfolio Management (Demand Management, Agile, Release Management)
  4. Data (Data Foundation/Data Fabric, Enterprise Data Products & Data Governance, Business Data Products)
  5. Software Engineering (UI Path/AI Innovation, Quality Engineering, Core Engineering)
  6. IT Security (Cyber Defense Operations, Data Protection Governance, Risk Assurance)
  7. Architecture (Data & AI, Cloud Architecture, Digital Product Architecture)


Responsibilities:
  • Complete assigned work in selected rotational area for 8 months prior to moving to 2nd and 3rd rotations
  • Report out to Senior Technology Leadership Team
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to incoming intern and rotational cohorts


Qualifications:

Education

  • Some College Courses Completed final year of college (Undergraduate or Master's program) with a major in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or other analytical/technical area (Preferred).

Knowledge:

  • Information technology course experience and fundamental understanding of technologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of technologies such as cloud, AI, and networking.

Skills:

  • Highly collaborative, motivated and possesses strong organizational skills.
  • Solid analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable making verbal and written presentations to senior management.
