As a Security Officer - Patrol Watch in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, support access control and visitor screening, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, customer-focused presence. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and/or emergency responders, and use Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative approach to deliver service with integrity through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial services location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards requiring attention.
• Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual activity, and complete required security-related reporting and documentation.
• Support a professional atmosphere by communicating clearly with staff and visitors, assisting with directions and/or questions, and escalating concerns through the proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Have a guard card/license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
