Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Role in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and/or mall location, you will conduct routine patrols with a strong visible presence, respond to incidents, and support store teams and guests with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity as you help to deter security-related concerns throughout the property.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, back-of-house corridors, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, sales floor activity, and cash handling areas for unusual conditions, and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with on-site staff, and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and/or customer service interactions, and communicate timely updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
