We are seeking a highly technical and visionary Principal Architect, Analytics AI/ML Platform Engineering. This individual contributor role demands deep expertise in designing, developing, and managing data and analytics platforms across multi-cloud hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with a strong background in cloud-native architectures, data engineering, and platform scalability.

What You'll Bring:

  • Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse.

  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks: Apache Airflow, dbt, Informatica.

  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Java, Scala, SQL.

  • Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks: Apache Spark, Hadoop.

  • Experience with real-time data streaming: Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.

  • Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools: Collibra, Alation.

  • Understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in data engineering and platform development.

  • Proven track record of building and scaling data platforms in multi-cloud environments.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Architect and implement scalable data and analytics platforms across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Lead the design and development of cloud-native data pipelines, storage solutions, and analytics services.

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements.

  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

  • Establish best practices for data governance, metadata management, and data quality.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

  • Drive automation and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment of data services.

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $168,750.00 - $281,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
