| Position Highlights |
This position works closely with the Principal Investigator and Study Coordinator to support data collection activities for a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) self-collection pilot study. Responsibilities include assisting with qualitative data collection through semi-structured interviews, contributing to qualitative data analysis, and supporting study documentation and workflows. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Support HPV self-collection pilot study in collaboration with El Rio's Street Medicine team, including coordinating day-of communication between El Rio staff and University of Arizona research interviewers to ensure smooth study operations and protocol adherence. Facilitate secure handling and transport of HPV self-collection specimens to El Rio laboratory facilities, following established biospecimen transport protocols.
- Assist with participant screening and enrollment activities by applying study eligibility criteria, documenting screening outcomes, and supporting informed consent in accordance with IRB-approved procedures.
- Contribute to qualitative data analysis of semi-structured interview data, including team-based coding, codebook development or refinement, and interpretation of emerging themes.
- Participate in monthly project meetings to review study progress, discuss operational or analytic challenges, and contribute to planning next steps.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of qualitative research concepts.
- Ability to make communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- BS/MS/MPH in a health-related field; OR, 3 years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment.
