Position Highlights

This position supports the research and community outreach missions of the Department of Family and Community Medicine in the College of Medicine - Tucson. Under the guidance of the Vice Chair for Research, this position engages in clinical research coordination, data gathering and analysis, and research participant management. Position supports community outreach by planning, organizing, and implementing community outreach activities under the direction of department leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Vice Chair for research, assist in the daily coordination of research projects to ensure projects are carried out on schedule and within budget.
  • Under the supervision of department leadership, engages with community outreach programs to plan, organize and implement community outreach events and initiatives.
  • Project administration, including but not limited to budget tracking, payment of invoices, compilation of required documentation, ordering of supplies, and meetings with involved parties.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, exercise sound judgment, and independently develop innovative, practical solutions for leadership review.
  • Proven ability to exchange information effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to advance objectives and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision, apply critical thinking to determine the most effective approach, and deliver high-quality results aligned with organizational expectations.
