Job Description




As a Security Officer - Community Patrol Driver in Knoxville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail property setting.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with lost persons or property concerns, disturbances, and/or medical situations until additional help arrives.
  • Monitor and/or control access to designated areas, verify credentials when required, and communicate directions and policy reminders to guests and/or contractors as needed.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal management of significant events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
