Job Summary: The Internal Communications Senior Channel Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development, management and continuous improvement of BDO's internal communications channels, with a primary focus on the firm's digital employee experience platform, designed to boost engagement, productivity and retention. This position assists with platform configuration, operational execution and stakeholder coordination to ensure a successful rollout and sustained adoption. The role also supports day-to-day management of platform communications, content governance and usability improvements, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern intranet capabilities, user experience principles, platform analytics and digital workplace best practices to enable cohesive communications strategies, while also contributing to other communication channels as needed. Job Duties: Platform Implementation:
- Supports configuration and deployment of communications-related features and modules in the employee experience platform to meet business needs
- Collaborates with platform vendor to address BDO's ongoing communications needs and bring new features/functionality, aligning with business requirements and project goals
- Assists with managing contributor permissions, monitors performance metrics and raises support tickets as needed
- Supports communications content migration and site setup in collaboration with Internal Communications and IT teams
- Documents platform-related communications workflows and contributes to training materials for internal users
- Works closely with communications content contributors and site administrators to gather requirements and provide guidance
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders/collaborators to conduct focus groups for usability testing and feedback to improve the user experience
- Partners with the project manager to ensure timely task completion
- Analyzes system and communications workflows to identify improvements
Communications Channel Management:
- Assists in executing communications content strategies using the employee experience platform, including calendars and article programming
- Organizes and structures communications content for easy navigation and accessibility
- Utilizes platform features (CMS, social tools, analytics) and applies basic web technologies for customization and troubleshooting
- Reviews platform usage data, tracks KPIs and partners with internal collaborators to conduct user research that guides enhancements and improves performance
- Applies UX design principles and supports personalization/targeting of content and features to improve engagement
- Fosters online community engagement and surfaces user feedback for continuous improvement
- Supports platform-related projects, feature implementations and change initiatives to drive employee adoption
- Troubleshoots issues, ensures accuracy and quality in all communications content and configurations
- Stays current with digital workplace technologies and best practices
Change Management & Adoption:
- Assists with change management strategies and user adoption initiatives for new and existing communication channels
- Supports training and onboarding for the platform's communications-related contributors and end-users
Other Responsibilities:
- Creates and curates engaging, relevant communications content aligned with the firm's style, brand standards and governance policies
- Contributes to additional tasks and initiatives as needed to support Internal Communications goals

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education:
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of experience with digital workplace tools, intranet platforms or systems operations, required; major in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, preferred; OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) or more years of experience with digital workplace tools, intranet platforms or systems operations, required
Experience:
- Familiarity with web design principles and information architecture, required
- Prior experience working in a professionals services environment, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Certifications in project management or communications, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
- Skilled in using analytics tools for communications channels, required
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 platforms, required
- Advanced knowledge of content management systems and intranet platforms such as Unily, preferred
- Experience with project management tools and agile methodologies, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $75,000 - $95,000 Maryland Range: $75,000 - $95,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $75,000 - $95,000
