The Financial Analyst supports Bagel Brands' financial planning, performance analysis, and decision-making by delivering accurate reporting, thoughtful analysis, and clear insights across the business. This role plays a key part in understanding revenue performance, cost drivers, pricing strategy, and financial outcomes across our growing portfolio of company-owned, franchise, and licensed locations.

In alignment with Bagel Brands' Mission, Vision, and Values, the Financial Analyst brings curiosity, rigor, and collaboration to their work-helping leaders understand what the numbers mean and how financial insights support disciplined growth and strong business decisions.

Please Note: The range provided below encompasses a wide range of Bagel Brands roles. The specific salary/hourly range for this role is

  • Department: Finance
  • Base Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000 annually
  • Bonus: 10% annual incentive target
    • Compensation is based on experience, and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Support top-line revenue analysis, including modeling, explanation, and visualization of sales performance across the organization.
  • Track and report on overall business performance, including sales versus plan and performance of key initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly G&A reporting across Franchise and Non-Traditional business segments.
  • Support reporting and analysis related to Cost of Goods Sold and other sales performance metrics.
  • Identify key drivers, trends, and variances, providing clear and actionable commentary to support leadership decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning Support

  • Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring inputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with company goals.
  • Support financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate business initiatives and performance outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in planning assumptions and outputs.

Pricing & Business Insights

  • Support pricing operations, including analysis that informs pricing strategy development and execution.
  • Assist in preparing materials that explain pricing strategy, impacts, and recommendations for leadership review.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support evolving business needs and strategic questions.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner cross-functionally with Franchise, Operations, and other teams to support financial reporting and analysis needs.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial reporting tools, dashboards, and processes.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, and documentation in all financial analyses and reports.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong Excel skills for data processing, modeling, and analysis.
  • Experience with reporting or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred.
  • Restaurant or hospitality industry experience is a plus, including hands-on experience working in a restaurant.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions.
  • High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
