DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Air Monitoring Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for the operation and daily maintenance of enhanced particulate monitoring samplers which operate seven days a week, 24 hours per day. Your duties will include performing daily sample collection tasks, performing maintenance and quality assurance checks on samplers, transporting exposed filter samples to a central location, and delivering network filters to the lab. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing and retrieving enhanced particulate filter samples, recording the data, and monitoring sampler operations at designated sampling sites. Due to the independent nature of this role, it is important that you demonstrate accountability and strong organization skills.

- Full-time employment, 75 hours/bi-weekly
- Work hours are 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position operated on a rotating schedule due to daily sampling.
- Holidays and weekends may be required.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of technical experience testing and repairing electronic or electrical equipment; or
- An associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, information sciences and technology, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
