THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this internship, you will contribute to the full-service multimedia and marketing services we provide to Commonwealth agencies by capturing and editing video and photography, conducting research, drafting scripts, and managing digital content for broadcast and social media platforms. Our team offers you the chance to collaborate with a variety of media professionals, practice independent judgment in determining and implementing industry-standard techniques, and hone your instincts in adherence to journalistic standards of ethics. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Paid internship for Summer or Fall 2026
  • Work schedule will be determined based on the selected candidate and business needs of the bureau.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirements:

  • You must be a college student enrolled on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester. Acceptable Majors:
    • Graphic Design
    • Communications
    • Journalism
    • Broadcast Journalism
    • Public Relations
    • Marketing
    • Multimedia Production
    • Web Design
    • Digital Media Marketing/Communication
  • You must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
