Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, ERP Program Delivery leads delivery execution for Project Nova, Vallen's enterprise-wide ERP transformation initiative. Reporting directly to the VP of Enterprise Applications, this role owns end-to-end delivery management across all ERP and platform workstreams -- spanning current AS-IS systems (SX.e, MAPS, GLO, AS400) to the M3/CSDe future-state environment.

The Sr. Manager, ERP Program Delivery leads a team of Project Managers, drives delivery discipline across complex multi-region workstreams, and serves as the primary operational owner ensuring that work is planned, visible, and executed with accountability. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of IT delivery, business alignment, and program governance -- enabling senior leaders to focus on strategy and decision-making while keeping execution on track.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

Program Leadership & Delivery Ownership

  • Own end-to-end delivery execution across ERP, platform, data, and integration workstreams for Project Nova.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for day-to-day workstream delivery.
  • Translate approved strategy, priorities, and architectural decisions into actionable delivery plans, milestones, and timelines.
  • Drive accountability across technical and business teams -- ensuring work is sequenced, assigned, and completed on time.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for delivery risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies.

Execution & Work Management

  • Maintain and manage Azure DevOps (ADO) backlogs, boards, and delivery artifacts across AS-IS and M3/CSDe workstreams.
  • Ensure work items are clearly defined, properly scoped, and aligned to governance-approved priorities.
  • Drive release planning, readiness reviews, and coordination activities -- including validation of task completion and handoffs.
  • Lead delivery-focused working sessions, standups, and checkpoint meetings with discipline and efficiency.

Governance & Visibility

  • Maintain delivery documentation, status reporting, dashboards, and executive-facing visibility artifacts.
  • Reinforce intake and governance processes -- ensuring all work is routed through approved decision and prioritization channels.
  • Provide the EVP and senior leadership with clear, accurate, and timely delivery status across all active workstreams.
  • Identify delivery risks early, assess impact, and surface options with sufficient context for rapid decision-making.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with the Sr. Enterprise ERP Architect, technical leads, and business SMEs to maintain alignment between plans and execution.
  • Act as a connector across teams to reduce friction, close communication gaps, and keep execution moving.
  • Build and maintain credibility with both IT and business stakeholders through consistent, disciplined delivery.
  • Support the EVP in preparing executive communications, program updates, and governance reporting.

Job Qualificaitons:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 8+ years of progressive IT delivery or program management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing other PMs or delivery professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience leading ERP implementations or enterprise application transformation programs -- Infor CSD/M3 experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-region, multi-workstream programs with significant business and technical interdependencies.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or comparable delivery management platforms.
  • Experience operating in structured governance environments with formal intake, prioritization, and escalation processes.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent delivery certification preferred.

Job Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong command of IT delivery lifecycles, program governance, and enterprise execution frameworks.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of Project Managers across concurrent workstreams.
  • Skilled at translating high-level strategy and architectural direction into clear, executable delivery plans.
  • Strong executive communication skills -- able to synthesize complex delivery status into clear, concise updates for senior leadership.
  • High organizational discipline with attention to sequencing, dependencies, and follow-through.
  • Operates effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments without losing structure or accountability.
  • Builds trust through delivery results, not positional authority.
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and surfacing problems early, with solutions in hand.
