Job Summary:

The State Group Lead Auditor is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on the State Group audits. This role requires strong leadership, technical, and communication skills to effectively manage the audits, interact with stakeholders and report audit findings and recommendations. The Lead Auditor will also conduct analysis and perform audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide guidance, training, and oversight to ensure audit work is performed in accordance with auditing standards and policies
  • Ensure through audits that the organization's programs are consistently administered in compliance with organizational policies and procedures, contractual obligations, rulings, laws and government regulations
  • Develop and implement audit plans, programs, and procedures to achieve audit objectives.
  • Communicate audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations to management, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and present audit reports, including written communication of audit results, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on auditing standards, government regulations, and industry best practices
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal business partners, management, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other audit teams, internal stakeholders, and external parties to achieve audit objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including:
    • Prioritizing and managing multiple audit projects simultaneously
    • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of audit activities and findings
    • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of audit objectives

Required Experience:

  • 4+ years Claims Processing Experience

  • Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and intermediate-level MS Excel skills

  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong organizational skills, including:

    • Experience with project management and coordination

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines

    • Strong time management and planning skills

Preferred Experience:

  • 4+ years State Group Claims Processing Experience

  • Working knowledge of State Group benefits

  • Experience with claims auditing and analysis

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $69,400 - $112,800

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $69,400 - $86,800

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
