Essential Functions...




  • Gives technical support and guidance to production employees as needed
  • Assist in supervising day-to-day activities of a team of direct reports. Establish and maintain a positive consistent work environment including personnel policy development, training safety and housekeeping.
  • Participate in shift change brief.
  • Manifest loads correctly.
  • Housecleaning. Keep floor, racks, and equipment clean.
  • Marks off and ID skids properly with the destination and the dispatch number on the outside of the wrap.
  • Shrink wraps pallet to ensure skid integrity is maintained during transit.
  • Loads product in accordance within SOP guidelines to ensure accuracy and load integrity.
  • Loads and unloads trailers in a safe efficient manner.
  • Operates material handling equipment: stretch wrap machines, skid compressor, and skid flipper.
  • Inspects and operates a forklift.
  • Participate in all safety programs as needed for the department.
  • Operates computer programs
  • Fill in with warehouse operations as business needs require
  • Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor.
  • Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.





Education and Experience...




  • Excellent driving skills, hand/foot-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Good record keeping / clerical skills
  • Good far-visual differentiation and depth perception
  • Good basic math and reading skills
  • Good oral communication and human relations skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience or training as a forklift operator
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable






Physical Requirements...




  • Lifting: Heavy (over 70 lbs) infrequently
  • Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 6 hours)
  • Sitting: Most of the day (a minimum of 5 hours)
  • Walking: Constantly
  • Ability to climb: infrequently (less than 10 x per hour)
  • Bending: Frequently
  • Ability to work with arms outstretched to the front
  • Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance infrequently






Special Requirements...




  • Fork truck license.


Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is
$30.06 $32.88 USD
