POSITION TITLE

NetworkEngineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of theNetwork team,associatewill work with a wide array ofnetworkplatforms and technologies thataugmentor directly provide critical business functions.Network technologiesinclude LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Wireless, Firewalls, and VPN.The associate will work closely with the Security team to continue network segmentation of Office (IT) and Process Control (OT) networks to provide a secure perimeter for production systems, while still allowing engineers access to key data for continued process improvement. As a member of the Milliken Network team, the associate will work tofacilitatedigital initiatives by providing secure and flexible network infrastructure.In addition to working withimmediateteammates and other ITteams,the associatewill often be interacting with business areas within Milliken and vendors that providekeysolutions.

The associatewill report to the ITManager ofthe Network Team.Travelrequirements are minimal but maybe occasionallynecessary to provide on-site collaboration for projects and training.Night and weekend workis occasionallyrequiredfor maintenance to minimize user impact.The associate willparticipatein anon-call rotationto provide off-hourssupportforcritical systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install,maintain, troubleshoot, and upgradeLAN/WAN/ Wireless/Firewall/VPN technologies
  • Work closely with plant engineers, data security, and other IT teams tofacilitateapplication solutions, ensure a secure network infrastructure, and provide global network access
  • Work independently and as a member of a team based on project needs
  • Activelyparticipatein system design, as well as develop formal system tests, change management, and installation processes
  • Research and proposenew solutionsand improvements intheirareas of responsibility
  • Harden and secure platforms from potential threats, both internal and external

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to workacross multiple business and IT teams
  • Excellent technical writing and system documentation skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills, initiative, and assertiveness

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

  • Ability to usescripting/coding tofacilitateNetwork monitoring and management
  • Knowledge of Meraki and Palo Alto platforms
  • Knowledge ofAzurenetwork integrationand management
