SEI is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer/Architect with strong interests and skills in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The Senior UX Designer/Architect is responsible for researching, conceptualizing and designing detailed solutions that support SEI's services and platforms.

These platforms include:

  • Client platform: the technology and business processes that support investors
  • Intermediary platform: the technology and business processes that support SEI's intermediaries (advisors, enterprise and bank).
  • Front Office: the services and solution to enable proposals, client servicing and Portfolio Management
  • Operational platform: the technology and business processes that supports SEI's middle and back office operational units, and similar units within our large clients.

What you will do:

  • Define and evolve UX architecture strategies aligned with enterprise goals and technical roadmaps.
  • Architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance design systems across platforms.
  • Lead UX vision and roadmap in collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Champion accessibility audits and inclusive design initiatives across all digital touchpoints.
  • Architect UX solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Establish UX governance frameworks and mentor junior designers and developers.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and design specifications into functional, pixel-perfect, and responsive user interfaces.
  • Define and track UX KPIs to measure user satisfaction, engagement, and business impact.
  • Proactively maintain current knowledge of existing Platform design language
  • Support agile development teams by routinely providing guidance on standards, UI patterns and trade-offs between technical and UE considerations, in conjunction with pre-defined agile development cycles
  • Lead the implementation of front-end architecture, set coding standards, and guide developers in adopting best practices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Angular, TypeScript,and frameworks like AG Grid for complex data grids and Micro frontend architecture
  • Work in a fast-paced high-volume environment with competing agendas

What we need from you:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in UX design, with at least 3 years in an architect or principal role.
  • Expertise in modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular (preferably version 14+), Vue.js, Next.js, Svelte).
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, Axure or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and responsive design.
  • Strong understanding of transformer-based design architectures and real-time data visualization.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing product strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • BS / BA in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Web Design or equivalent experience
  • Experience working across multiple applications in an enterprise level product offering
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and above average time management skills
  • Experience with:
    • Client Side Libraries such as jQuery, Angular, React
    • Single Page App design
    • Grid Architectures and libraries such as BootStrap; CSS, LESS or SASS
    • Design and techniques to support internationalization
    • UI templating techniques
    • Large scale data sets that impact page performance
    • Working within a mature Design Language
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with the design and delivery of scalable and distributed applications of commercial quality, with 24x7 operational characteristics
  • Experience making data driven design decisions based on user feedback, user testing, or data gathering tools like Matomo
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts.

  • Experience writing guidelines and UI/UX standards on design topics
  • Staying within timelines and deadlines for completion dates for the project. This requires good time management and organizational skills.
