We are seeking a Physical Security Systems Signals and Alarms Specialist to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.


Responsibilities

As the Physical Security Systems Signals and Alarms Specialist you will be responsible for analyzing telemetry data for anomalies derived from physical security systems/devices. Identifying and remediation potential vulnerabilities as it pertains to physical security system applications / hardware configuration. Managing alarms signal and integrations with different systems. Developing custom and complex alerts for special use cases.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Review alarm/event data and determine root cause analysis in Access Control, Video Management, and other physical security systems.
  • Identify, research, document potential known risks, vulnerabilities, and threats against the clients physical security
  • Establish response protocols for newly developed signals
  • Streamline processes, computation of signals, filtering of noise, and expedient notification to end users
  • Work on efforts/projects to increase the true-positive rate of the clients signals and alarms
  • Evaluate existing alarms/signals for accuracy, usefulness, and effectiveness
  • Deprecate unused or ineffective signals/alarms
  • Lead projects / efforts that are associated with improving signals. Engage with internal stakeholders directly to gather scope and validate effectiveness of newly developed solutions
  • Proactively identify solutions / problems to enhance the clients response to events through system alarms/alerts

Required Progressive Experience:

  • 6+ years experience in troubleshooting access control hardware issues
  • 6+ years experience in troubleshooting access control application issues
  • 6+ years experience in other physical security systems such as: Video management, Key box, Visitor management, PSIM
  • 3+ years experience in developing root cause analysis documentation or developing instructional guides on how to install/configure access control hardware
  • 2+ years manipulating, cleaning, and processing data in Sheets/Excel using advanced formulas/scripts or other methods
  • Knowledge of statistical signal data analysis identifying issues based on digital data: Noise reduction, Detection, Classification

Preferred:
- CCURE inst/main certified
- CCURE Adv Integrator certified
- FLIR Certified


Qualifications

Education/Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems or
  • Associates with 6+ years of experience
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS

Pay Range

USD $99,680.00 - USD $149,520.00 /Yr.
