Construction Management - Summer Intern

IPS is hiring a Construction Management Summer Intern (Safety) who will join our team onsite with our client in Marietta, PA.

The Construction Management Intern (Safety) will assist staff with achieving technical, safety, and administrative objectives. This developmental position enables the Construction Management Co-op to learn to apply theoretical knowledge to practical application.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist staff with the development of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans as needed.

• Assist staff with the maintenance of written project scopes as needed.

• Assist staff with the maintenance of project schedules as needed; this may include targeted and actual activities lists, durations, etc.

• Assist staff with monitoring and reporting project costs as needed.

• Assist staff with the coordination of safety resources to monitor site safety and correct nonconformance's as needed.

• Assist staff in facilitating communication between project participants, and producing documentation of communication between project participants as needed.

• Specific projects as assigned.

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline from an accredited technical institution or college.

• Proven time management skills in order to juggle more than one project at a time.

• Customer Service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills.
