Job Summary

  • Supports Customers, Sales, Quality, Warehouse and Production by solving problems and filling in gaps as they appear to increase efficiency as needed.



Essential Functions

  • Coordinates all actions needed for Sales Samples and owns the process, is overall responsible for their completion, from receipt to shipping; works with Sales, Planning, Quality, and Shipping.
  • Assist R&D with Trial Samples and Materials with Packaging Samples as needed, specifically in gathering, packing, and shipping; works with Planning and R&D.
  • Perform Quality Technician job as needed for assistance.
  • Acts as an agent for Change Management by ensuring upcoming changes are communicated when/before they occur.
  • Point of contact to escalate questions to and conduct audit during the change to ensure the process was done correctly.
  • Will work with the Materials, Production, and Planning teams.
  • Ensure samples are within all quality parameters.
  • Communicate delays to the affected departments.
  • Maintain and update customer portals with requested information.
  • Will be responsible for performing various administrative task for the quality department; including but not limited to:

    • COA generation
    • Audit preparation
    • Validation activities
    • Product hold
    • Document Change Requests
    • Product Release Activities
    • Other duties assigned.





Duties and Responsibilities



  • Adhere to Hershey Salty Snacks GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Communicate accordingly with Managers, Supervisors, PMO's, Packers, Material Planners, Buyers, and other team members as needed; attend and participate in meetings as required.
  • Review and understand the Production Schedule, maintain overall awareness of production plan, know the production priorities.
  • Understand SAP S/4 and other MRP Systems and Applications used in production and inventory control.
  • Understand how to pull Lead Labels (or other work instructions), know where and how to pull supplies and material needed to execution a Production Job, able to work with Warehouse team members as needed.
  • Set up the Jobs according with work instructions; including cartons, trays, labels scales, tape, skids, wrap skids, and necessary packing materials (Pouches, Film, Tubs, Liners).
  • Use the Zebra printers, able to refill with labels and ribbon as needed, and Load job into computer.
  • Assist Quality teams with items that are on Quality Hold, provide information and assistance.
  • Develop and maintain trackers and paperwork files in assisting with assigned duties, as needed convert system data into reports for team members.
  • Follow all safety rules and policies, follow all general work rules and policies, regular attendance, complete all required trainings, ensure work areas are maintained and kept clean, able to follow directions as required by management, and able to be flexibly and perform other duties assigned.



Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Possess basic computer skills, Microsoft Office and MRP systems is preferred.

  • Proficiency of the English language, ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals, and able to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Ability to deal with and solve problems with minimal information in standard and non-standard situations.
  • Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and with limited to no guidance.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively, possesses a high attention to detail and the ability to complete forms and enter data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Possesses interpersonal skills, ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and accomplish tasks through only influence.
