The Position
2026 Summer Intern - Integrative Immunogenomics Department Summary The Human Genetics organization advances discovery and translational science by integrating large-scale genomic data with disease biology to generate insights that inform drug discovery and precision medicine. Our work spans autoimmune disease, inflammation, and oncology, with a strong emphasis on immune-mediated mechanisms and causal inference. This internship provides doctoral-level trainees with the opportunity to contribute to high-impact, business-critical research at the intersection of human genetics, immunology, and computational biology. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity As an Integrative Immunogenomics Intern, you will lead a focused research project leveraging whole-genome sequencing data and advanced variant calling outputs to understand how structural variation, somatic variation, and HLA diversity influence immune pathways relevant to disease risk and therapeutic response.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
