Position Summary

Position Summary:

Identify and review opportunities to convert hardware custom parts: O-Rings, Fasteners, Spring Disks, etcetera from Custom to COTS (Commercial Off- the-Shelf).

The Custom to Catalogue Strategy identifies, evaluates, and implements opportunities to convert frequently purchased custom hardware components (e.g., O-rings, fasteners, spring disks) to COTS/catalogue parts. The scope focuses on reducing total cost and lead times, improving availability and supply assurance, and standardizing part usage while maintaining required quality and compliance.

  1. Custom Specification Identification:
    • Research and compile specifications for "custom hardware" used in the production of Military Flight Control Division (Dublin, GA and Irvine, CA)
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements.
  2. Estimated Annual Usage (EAU) Calculation:
    • Work with supply chain analysis to gather data on production volumes and forecasts.
    • Calculate the EAU for each component to assist in the RFQ (Request for Quote) process.
  3. Supplier Collaboration:
    • Engage with hardware suppliers to understand their capabilities and material offerings.
    • Assess supplier material quality and compliance with specifications.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) to present findings.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  5. Qualifications:

  • Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company procedures and policies.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Computer Science, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PBI.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.


Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $14.85/hr to $24.75/hr
  • No benefit plan eligibility
