  • Naga-Waukee Golf Course- W307 N1897 Maple Avenue, Pewaukee
  • Moor Downs Golf Course- 464 Riverview Ave, Waukesha

Work Schedule Information:

  • Flexible schedules: consideration given for either full-time or part-time.
  • Weekends: depending on staff and golf course event schedule.

Typical work hours:

  • Part-time: 5:00am to 9:00am; mix of weekdays and weekends
  • Full-time: 5:00am to 1:30pm; mix of weekdays and weekends

Prior to hiring, the final candidate may be subject to work/education/certification reference(s), and pass a criminal background and driver's license check.

CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION

Example of Duties

Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor involving the maintenance, construction and repair of golf course facilities, including:

  • Operates mowers, tractors and other maintenance vehicles and equipment; utilizes a variety of hand and power tools; operates small equipment such as weed eaters and push mowers; assists in routine maintenance of such equipment.
  • Cleans restrooms and outhouses and picks up litter around courses.
  • Waters, mows, weed trims, renovates and fertilizes lawns; prunes trees and shrubs; plants trees, flowers and shrubs; rakes leaves and cleans walks, fields, courts and other facilities; applies herbicides, fungicides and pesticides safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Essential Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Ability to manage crowds.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to accurately count and handle money.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to variable and unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs, on a frequent basis.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements

  • 18 years of age.
  • 8th grade education.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Some recent unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor involving the maintenance, construction and repair of golf course facilities.
