Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Center Supervisor, the Operations Center Cloud Technician I is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, andassisting in the maintenance ofcomplexcloud-based production systems, monitoring dashboards and alerting, documenting knowledge, managing major incident logistics and working with Availity business partners to deliver high quality service.

The shift for this position is: Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm with alternating Thursday shifts

To be qualified for this position, youshould have:

  • Associate'sdegree in ComputerScienceor Information Technology or equivalent work experience.

  • 4+ Years relevantwork experience.

  • Minimum 1+ year's work experience operating in an on-call environment preferred.

  • Minimum 1+ year's work experience operating in a cloud-based production environment.

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • Splunk Query Language skills a plus

  • Ability to manage significant volume of alerts

  • Ability to multitask and reprioritize tasks dependent on the changing situation.

  • Ability to interact with senior leadership during major incidents.

  • A keen eye for detailwithout losing sight of the big picture.You will be working with a lot of data andstatisticsacross multiple applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as you need to accurately report data to our partners.

  • The right attitude and aptitude about learning;this is an evolving job with so much to learn. You need to be able to research, learnfrom, and producedocumentation.

  • Reliability! The production environment needs the Operations Center Cloud Technicians to be ready to handle any issues that may arise.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-energy environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Your day will start by signing into work and going through a handoff process, reviewingemails,and gettingup to speed for the day.

  • Using Splunk and other data observability tools, you will identify areasof concern in the Availity Network and report any issues to internal and external customers.

  • Triage, Action, and Escalation of alerts and events from tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and Grafana. These alerts could require no action orcould indicate production issues requiring multiple teams to work together in solving the issue(s).

  • Working a ticket queue in ServiceNow to track a portion of the work being done (averaging 40+ tickets a day).

  • In the event of an impacting incident, you will need to open Teams meetings, driving those meetings, informing internal associates, take notes, and form an initial post incident report.

  • Interacting with the team, participating in calls to make sure everyone is up to date and to catch up with your team.
