Associate Manager, Alternative Investor Services

Locations: New York City, NY | Hybrid

Provides fund administration services to domestic and offshore hedge fund and private equity fund clients. These services include processing of investor subscriptions and redemptions, performing anti-money laundering and due diligence checks on investors, reporting to investors and clients, and handling investor communications and inquiries. Leader of primarily technical, skilled, or professional staff working on issues or projects of a moderate scope that require independent judgement guided by established policies, processes, and procedures. Actively engages in the work of the team to resolve escalated issues and meet schedules. Administers company policies and provides direction and guidance to team members on daily work, sometimes through team leaders. Recommends new procedures and changes to policies to meet department goals.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Oversee daily fund administration operations including processing investor subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and maintaining accurate investor records.
  • Ensure compliance with AML and duediligence requirements by reviewing documentation, resolving issues, and supporting adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Manage investor reporting and communications, ensuring timely delivery of statements, notices, and responses to investor or client inquiries.
  • Lead and support a team of technical and professional staff, providing direction, allocating workload, and offering guidance on complex or escalated matters.
  • Resolve operational and investorrelated escalations, working handson with the team to troubleshoot issues and maintain service quality.
  • Implement and reinforce company policies and procedures, ensuring team adherence and consistency across processing and communication.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend policy or workflow enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with department goals.

What You Will Bring:

  • Master's degree, Bachelor degree or High school diploma with 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in Fund Administration or Investor Services. Several years of handson experience working with hedge funds, private equity funds, or alternative investment clients, with solid understanding of investor transactions and reporting.
  • Knowledge of AML/KYC and Regulatory Requirements. Strong working knowledge of antimoney laundering rules, investor due diligence processes, and applicable financial regulations.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support a team of technical or professional staff, including handling escalations and guiding daily workflows.
  • Analytical and ProblemSolving Ability. Proven capability to resolve complex operational issues, interpret data or documentation, and make sound decisions within established policies.
  • Strong Communication and Client Interaction Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to manage investor inquiries, collaborate with clients, and provide clear guidance to team members.
