The Production Planning Analyst will play a key role in supporting and optimizing the site's production planning processes. This position involves analyzing data, maintaining accurate schedules, and driving process improvements to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery. The Analyst will also develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation to standardize planning practices and support compliance.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Production Planning & Scheduling


    1. Develop, update, and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer requirements.
    2. Monitor job progress and proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
    3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align priorities and resolve scheduling conflicts.





  1. Data Analysis & Reporting


    1. Collect and analyze data related to WIP, inventory, and capacity utilization.
    2. Prepare reports and dashboards to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, throughput, and resource efficiency.
    3. Provide actionable insights to improve planning accuracy and operational performance.





  1. Documentation & Standardization


    1. Create and maintain work instructions for planning processes and ERP transactions.
    2. Develop process documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory standards.
    3. Support training initiatives by providing clear and accurate documentation.





  1. Process Improvement


    1. Identify opportunities to streamline planning workflows and reduce lead times.
    2. Participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
    3. Implement best practices for ERP/MES utilization and planning methodologies.





  1. Collaboration & Communication


    1. Work closely with production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment on schedules and priorities.
    2. Communicate changes and updates clearly to stakeholders.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain analytics (aerospace or manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills



  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace industry standards.



Work Environment



  • This position typically operates in a manufacturing or production environment, with some time spent in an office setting.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.
