GENERAL SUMMARY:

Works in collaboration with the Practice Manager in supporting the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating of the day-to-day operations of the clinic and patient care in Bryan Physician Network (BPN). Facilitates and supports collaborative teamwork within the BPN clinic(s). Promotes retention of staff through recognition and collaboration amongst staff.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. *Serves as a positive professional role model, exhibiting clinical leadership and decision-making skills.

3. *Provides direct leadership to roles as assigned.

4. Completes staff and provider schedules.

5. Ensures development, implementation and evaluation of staff competencies consistent with organizational standards.

6. Oversees the development and revisions of policies and procedures in collaboration with BPN leadership.

7. Assists with the departmental budgetary procedure to ensure proper operational and capital planning, appropriate and efficient use of resources, and consistent compliance with budgetary and fiscal controls.

8. Assists in effectively resolving the concerns of patients, families, and providers.

9. *Effectively assists with human resource processes, including scheduling; performance appraisals; staff recruitment; selection and retention; training and education; motivation, coaching, and mentoring; and appropriate productivity measures.

10. *Guides and clinically supervises care given by other members of the health care team and maintains accountability to ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards and competent care is delivered to patients of all ages.

11. *Collaborates and coordinates with other disciplines to meet the needs of the patient; interacts effectively with other team members to provide high quality care.

12. *Acts as department liaison to other departments/clinics, providers, and patients. Provides representation on designated committees as needed.

13. Assists with development of agendas and lead staff meetings under the direction of the practice manager.

14. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

15. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

16. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree required. A minimum of four (4) years of related leadership experience may be accepted in lieu of Associate's Degree. Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
