The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller who can translate complex, technical topics into engaging, relatable social content-especially for LinkedIn. If you excel at simplifying ideas and crafting thoughtful, on-brand messaging, we'd love to work with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Execution: Review editorial calendars, identify content needs, and write engaging, high-quality copy and captions.
  • Platform Management: Schedule and publish approved content via Hootsuite, primarily for LinkedIn, with occasional support for Instagram and Facebook.
  • Asset Coordination: Select and organize imagery; collaborate with design and brand teams to ensure visual and written alignment.
  • Brand Voice Stewardship: Maintain a consistent, personable, and approachable tone across all social content.
  • Simplify Complex Topics: Translate technical or industry-specific information into clear, engaging posts for a broad professional audience.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working under direction while partnering closely with designers and brand leads.
  • Platform & Tool Knowledge: Proficiency in Hootsuite and a solid understanding of LinkedIn's organic content algorithms and best practices.
  • Design Awareness: While design skills aren't required, an eye for visuals and understanding of brand consistency is a plus.
  • Bonus Experience: Familiarity with nonprofit, government, or healthcare communications-where simplifying complex topics is essential-is highly valued.

Status: Ongoing freelance, 10-15 hours/week (potential to scale to 20 hours)

Compensation: $25-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience
