Position: Operating Room Nurse Transition Residency The specific shift will be determined near the end of orientation (based on the length of the orientation). POSITION SUMMARY: Boston Medical Center (BMC) is excited to announce the Operating Room (OR) Nurse Transition Program 2026. Boston Medical Center has implemented a PeriOperative 101 program that incorporates the 'Nurse of the Future' Core Competencies. Nurses will be hired into the organization in small cohorts. The Transition Program Cohort will attend nursing orientation, matriculate though the operating room residency curriculum and remain together until they sit for a final exam for certification through the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). This program will provide the nurse specialized hybrid learning opportunities that include online modules, classroom didactic, hands-on skills and simulation lab sessions with clinical preceptorship in the operating room. The official transition date into the Operating Room will be Monday, March 23. EDUCATION: Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
