We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with at least 2 years of experience in trade compliance, a strong foundation on data analysis tools and process improvement, and capable of executing assigned tasks with minimal supervision. The Trade Compliance Analyst must have good communication skills and interact with internal stakeholders from Trade Compliance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Tax, and other teams within Nokia, as well as with external stakeholders such as customs brokers, trade compliance 3rd party providers, freight forwarders, and government authorities in the US and Canada.

The Trade Compliance Analyst reports to the North America Trade Compliance Leader.

Location: US Only. Dallas Preferred.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Prepare ad hoc and recurring reports and analyses of trade-related data
  • Monitor changes to trade compliance regulations and highlight implications for Nokia
  • Perform and improve audits of import and export filings to ensure adherence to Nokia's trade compliance operating procedures (US and Canada)
  • Suggest and assist with the implementation of process improvements related to trade compliance activities
  • Provide instructions to customs brokers, freight forwarders, and 3rd party compliance providers
  • Provide instructions and guidance to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters
  • Prepare standard operating procedures, desktop procedures, manuals and other trade compliance-related documentation
  • Commit to continuously enhancing skillset

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on trade compliance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics
  • Strong Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of US and Canadian import and export regulations
  • Self-starter who can work independently and desires to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Communication, writing and interpersonal skills

It would be nice if you also had:

  • US customs brokerage license
  • Certified Customs Specialist certification (US and/or Canada)
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese
