The Team Lead will perform all the functions of a DSP and assists the Residential Manager in ensuring quality of services provided, health and safety of the individuals served, and DSP training, support, and supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with DSP training, support, and supervision.
  • Support of program and house specific orientation functions
  • Support of staff training
  • Mentorship of new staff during shadowing period
  • Ongoing coaching and role modeling for staff
  • Support of staff meetings
  • Help develop and manage staffing schedule in accordance with Plan of Care.
  • Assist with management of program and individual documentation as required
  • Completion, collection, review, submission, and/or tracking of documentation
  • Assist with individual medication and healthcare coordination functions
  • Assist in finances
  • Responsible for ensuring that the individual's home is safe, clean and in good repair.
  • Monitor proper diet, meal planning and shopping
  • Ensure that monthly safety drills are conducted
  • Assisting in crisis situations
  • Must report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Access to a vehicle in good operating order + proof of auto insurance
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
