Network Engineer - 26-005 - Hampton, VA

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members.

Support operations at the Advanced Battle Management System Digital Infrastructure Command and Control Network and Security Operations Center (ABMS DI C2NSOC) to plan and engineer, as well as support the implementation and design of network architectures/infrastructures. Use concepts, best practices and concepts related to networking hardware/software, to include LAN, WAN and Wireless and Information Assurance (IA) technologies/architectures. Develop network designs, network test plans/reports and use advanced troubleshooting skills for enterprise-level trouble tickets.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Current Security+ CE and (CCNA or CCNP) or equivalent certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree + 5 years' experience or high school diploma + 9 years' experience required.
  • Experience with network STIGs and familiarity with DoD hardening network equipment.
  • Experience in design work, design documentation and test execution in support of a design.
  • Experience with network sniffers and network packet captures.
  • Experience with network testing tools, traffic generators and latency generators.
  • Experience with SD-WAN concepts; experience with Juniper SSR preferred.
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of WAN technologies (long haul circuits, BGP routing, etc.), IP Networking and telecommunications standards.
  • Firm understanding of Multicast and WAN Acceleration.
  • Able to clearly document and deliver technical reports to senior leadership.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal skills.
  • This is a remote position.

Based on your qualifications, you will be placed in Level I-V.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.

AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
