Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Staff Project Manager to be the driving force behind our Core equipment engineering projects. This is a pivotal role where you will transform technical blueprints into reality, owning the entire project lifecycle from initial intake and scope definition to strategic purchasing and on-time delivery. If you are a fluent communicator across disciplines and thrive on influencing process compliance to meet aggressive timelines, you are the project leader we need to bring our next generation of core equipment to life.

This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 - Form Energy's 550,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Weirton, WV, a commutable distance from Pittsburgh. Purpose-built for high-volume, advanced battery production, Form Factory 1 is a hub of fast-moving, collaborative work driving a new era of large-scale American energy manufacturing in the heart of the Rust Belt.

Relocation assistance is available.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the Project Intake process: vetting requests, defining scope, and aligning stakeholder expectations.

  • Support the engineering team in strategic purchasing-managing long-lead items and vendor relationships to keep the build on schedule.

  • Translate technical milestones into clear executive updates, managing the budget and timeline

  • Drive product development programs to milestones while managing and communicating schedules across multiple teams to ensure efficient alignment, coordination, and execution of Form's highly cross-functional goals

  • Proactively identify and frame key decisions, risks, and work with stakeholders to develop decision-quality options; facilitate progress by ensuring appropriate scheduling, resourcing, and prioritization of engineering workflows

  • Assess and mitigate program risks based on development activities across electrical, controls, mechanical, and chemical subsystems

  • Contribute to program management systems and structures based on best-practices and your personal experience, to effectively integrate with and support Form Energy's world-class technical team

  • Contribute to and execute on Form's Product Development Process directly supporting the integration of sub systems supporting the architecture team, through the full life cycle of the product (PDP)

  • Single accountable owner of Form's phase gate product development system (updating and implementing).

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in Engineering project Management

  • High proficiency in project management systems and project management software (Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project).

  • The ability to speak "Engineer," "Technician," and "Executive" fluently.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects for equipment development combining electrical hardware, controls & mechanical components

  • Strong ability to drive programs forward, remove roadblocks, and escalate any major risks or issues
