Job Description

Job Profile Summary

The Talent Development Program Specialist develops, improves, and manages Talent Development programs with a focus on training, employee recognition, and engagement initiatives. This role focuses on building high-quality learning and recognition experiences, enhancing program structures, and ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively and sustainably.

The Program Specialist applies strong program and project management skills, introduces improvements, collaborates with stakeholders, and oversees end-to-end program execution. The role also provides oversight for recognition event planning, ensuring events are well-designed and supported with the necessary logistical components. While this role may provide backup support for training coordination, its primary focus is to develop, manage, and continuously

improve Talent Development programs.

Job Description

  • Executes employee recognition programs (service anniversaries, employee of the month, organization-wide recognition) and other engagement initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to promote and communicate programs effectively to ensure meaningful and well-delivered.
  • Manages program timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination to ensure Talent Development initiatives are executed effectively and on schedule.
  • Creates program materials, guides, presentations, workflows, and templates to support consistent delivery and quality across Talent Development offerings.
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions and training workshops for employees as needed.
  • Prepares executive-level summaries, reports, and presentations on program progress, outcomes, and recommendations.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and improve the participant and stakeholder experience.
  • Monitors industry trends and best practices in learning, recognition, and employee engagement to inform program improvements.
  • Provides periodic backup support for training coordination during peak needs or absences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, training and development, program management, or a related field.
  • Experience planning employee recognition activities or large-scale events preferred.
  • Strong program and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing executive-ready materials.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Skilled in analyzing data, identifying trends, and presenting insights.
  • Ability to facilitate training sessions and create engaging, easy-to-understand content.
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS or LMS platforms preferred.
  • Prior experience in training coordination, training facilitation, event planning, or employee recognition programs.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

$52.38 - $78.57 USD Hour
