General Summary/ Overview:
The Mass General Brigham Community Health Intern Program offers young adults age 18 and older an opportunity to gain valuable experience working to improve community health outcomes. Interns will engage directly with patients and community members, supporting access to care, health education, innovation, evaluation, or outreach efforts aimed at improving health outcomes consistent with the Mass General Brigham Community Health Needs Assessment. Internships are typically full-time for 8-10 weeks between May - August. This program is meant for individuals interested in a career in healthcare, community or public health, or population health management, providing meaningful, hands-on experience in real-world settings. Interns will be assigned to a community health team and will contribute to a project that can include interacting with patients and community residents at health centers, outreach sites, or community events. Interns may assist with patient care and engagement, educational initiatives, and operational support while learning from experienced healthcare professionals.
