Summary The Home Infusion Nurse Manager manages, supervises and coordinates services and functions performed by nurses and associated clinical staff at Baptist Health Home Infusion. Builds and maintains collaborative working relationships, in support of interdisciplinary team initiatives, with Baptist Health Home Infusion pharmacy staff and others within and outside of the Baptist Health Pharmacy Services organization. Practices sound management principles. Works diligently to help achieve revenue and profitability targets while assuring quality care, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a RN Manager, Home Infusion Nursing to join our team at Baptist Health Lexington Home Care, 2100 Nicholasville Rd, Lexington, KY! Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Manages nursing operations for department, adjusting staff assignments as acuity, census, staffing and priorities change. Assists in identifying staff to supplement schedule, including call-in coverage. Communicates all staffing changes to Director of Pharmacy. Delegates responsibilities within scope of practice and provides guidance to co-workers in assessment, clinical skills, and problem solving. Addresses patient, family, and physician issues regarding patient care. Assures environmental tidiness in patient care areas and restocking of necessary supplies. Ensures staff complete necessary documentation within appropriate time. Exemplifies excellent interpersonal communication both verbal and written. Promotes open communication that facilitates staff input into decision making, conflict resolution, and teamwork among staff. Communicates current issues to Director of Pharmacy. Maintains confidentiality and privacy in both staff and patient interactions. Reports to work on time and flexes schedule frequently. Exhibits courtesy and discretion in interactions with families, patients, physicians and others. Accepts feedback constructively. Responds effectively and promptly to requests. Assists with development and achievement of goals which support Home Infusion's performance improvement plan. Demonstrates leadership/monitoring of staff performance through: Orientation process with documented competencies assured for each employee. Annual performance evaluation based on objective feedback and more frequently as indicated. Feedback based on performance including development of action plans if indicated. Disciplinary action from counseling to document performance. Termination process in consideration of HR policies and organizational values if staff are unable to meet performance standards or Home Infusion policies. Mentors and coaches' staff to enhance their professional development. Assures compliance of all nursing staff with: Mandatory education including required certifications. Employee health requirements. Promotes corporate integrity through compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Maintains personal competence in specific corporate risk areas that may affect specific areas.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate's degree in nursing, BSN preferred. KY registered nurse (RN) license. Current CPR/BLS issued by American Heart Association. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. 5 years RN experience & 1-year of supervisory experience. Experience with central lines, PICC lines, ports and peripheral IVs. Must obtain CNRI and/or VA-BC within 6 months of hire.
