Operations Manager

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all plants are running effectively and efficiently.
• Manager the relationship with each plant from the Plant Manager and Production Supervisor level as well as general labor.
• Manage high level production issues including
  • Evaluating new equipment acquisition to increase efficiency and assist in new opportunities.
  • Overall production rates using resources such as Controller and Production Supervisor.
  • Manage plant expenses versus budget.
  • Control the relationship with the staffing agency, freight and key vendors in conjunction with the respective subordinate.
• Oversee the production meetings to ensure that orders are processing effectively.
• Manage direct plant personnel including Purchasing, Quality Control, Production and Logistics.

OBJECTIVES:

• Organize all plant locations to maximize efficiency.
• Negotiate vendor agreements and leverage our buying capacity.
• Establish new systems for monitoring rates by equipment as well as efficiency by employee.
• Maximize the efficiency of the logistics capabilities for distribution and establish a method to determine cost to ship by product class.
• Initiate a preventative maintenance protocol for all equipment.
