Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.



Responsibilities

    Due to extensive need for comprehensive software verification and validation, performs simulation and testing to
    ensure the successful operation and performance of combat, reconnaissance, surveillance, Command and Control,
    Anti-Submarine and Anti-Surface Warfare, and search and rescue systems.
  • Duties include operating simulated and actual aircraft systems, communications and detection equipment to verify expected performance.
  • Applying Air Crew member experience, provide expertise in platform operations, in support of new or updated systems
    acquisition and systems sustainment, primarily for systems software. This can include providing or reviewing
    requirements, reviewing and analyzing system defects for operational or maintenance impacts, or providing
    workarounds to issues.
  • Review Contractor CDRL test plans, test procedures, test reports and monitoring Contractor testing. Develop test plans, test procedures, test reports for in-house software development and performing testing.
  • Providing Fleet support analyzing issues and/or providing guidance on software workarounds.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Active/current Top Secret clearance.
  • At least 600 hours in one or more of the following: E-6 flight time, E-6 trainer, E-6 Systems Integration Lab. Of the 600 hours, at least 100 hours must be E-6 flight time.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in DoD aircraft system operations, in support of new or updated systems acquisition and systems sustainment, primarily for systems software. This can include providing or reviewing requirements, reviewing and analyzing system defects for operational or maintenance impacts, or providing workarounds to issues.
  • Experience reviewing Contractor CDRL test plans, test procedures, test reports and monitoring Contractor testing. Experience developing test plans, test procedures, test reports for inhouse software development and performing testing.
  • Experience providing Fleet support analyzing issues and/or providing guidance on software workarounds.
  • Instructor experience desired


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $113,400.00/Yr. - USD $189,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
