We're looking for a Vice President of Safety who believes safety excellence is built through strong leadership, aligned systems, and a culture where everyone plays a role in looking out for one another. This role provides enterprise level leadership for safety-setting the vision, strategy, and direction for a leader led, zero injury culture where safety is instinctive and embedded in how work gets done. The Vice President of Safety partners closely with executive, operational, and field leaders to strengthen safety culture maturity, prevent serious injuries, and ensure safety supports business performance, workforce sustainability, and client trust. This opportunity is well suited for a senior safety leader who thrives in high risk environments, thinks systemically, and wants to make a meaningful, lasting impact on people, culture, and the organization as a whole. What You'll Do: Enterprise Safety Leadership & Strategy Safety Culture & Leadership Accountability Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) Prevention Governance, Risk & Compliance Talent Leadership & Resource Stewardship Executive Communication & External Leadership What You Bring Additional Experience, preferred: Location & Travel: This position can be based out of either our Sioux Center, IA, Sioux Falls, SD, or Omaha, NE Offices.Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Up to 40% may be expected. Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $175 - 215K + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
