Operating Engineer - JLL

What this job involves: Join JLL as an Operating Engineer and take ownership of critical building systems that keep our clients' facilities running smoothly. This role offers the perfect blend of technical expertise and customer service, where you'll manage electrical and mechanical systems while ensuring seamless building operations. You'll be at the forefront of facility management, utilizing cutting-edge technology and your technical skills to maintain world-class properties.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • * Monitor and maintain building management systems, responding to alerts and performing site inspections
  • * Execute preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems
  • * Respond to service requests with professionalism and efficiency, minimizing client disruption
  • * Manage emergency situations and provide after-hours support when needed
  • * Update and maintain Maximo CMMS documentation for all building operating systems
  • * Coordinate with building personnel and vendor partners to resolve incidents promptly
  • * Maintain parts inventory and ensure proper documentation of all maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • * High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • * Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
  • * Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web applications
  • * Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, stooping, and reaching
  • * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety equipment
  • Ability to analyze MEP systems, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with hands-on mechanical experience.

Location: Austin, TX

Work Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
