Description Acara Solutions is hiring a Production Technician for our client in Wilsonville, OR. This is a contract role with potential to become a full-time, direct role. Pay rate: $25/hr Schedule: M-F, flexible start time between 6am and 8am, 40 hours per week The Production Technician is responsible for delivering quality assembled parts for production hardware on time with minimal errors. In this capacity, the person will utilize multiple tools including but not limited, CNC Lathes, TIG Welding, Band Saws, Hand Tools, Measuring Equipment, and other automotive manufacturing equipment to manufacture parts to precision tolerances. The Production Technician reports directly to the Site Manager. Responsibilities: Read, interpret and evaluate work requests and instructions to assemble hybrid transmission components Operate manufacturing equipment at a high level of precision, to produce quality parts in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. An attention to detail with a goal of zero scrap is required. Inspect machined and assembled parts as necessary by utilizing indicators, micrometres, callipers and related devices for optimal accuracy. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Minimum 1 year relevant experience Preferred Skills / Qualifications: * Automotive or Manufacturing Experience Encouraged * Understanding of ISO Quality standards related to manufacturing and ability to use precise measuring equipment * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including dimensioning and tolerancing. * Must have a strong understanding of the relationship between tooling and various metal compounds. * Works with minimal supervision and manages the process. * Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
