Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert with deep understanding of financial policies, internal and external reporting, key financial metrics, business segments and solution lines
  • Provides presentations of consolidated data with actionable insights and helps formulate strategies to drive improved financial results
  • Leads multiple multi-year projects implementing various strategies to simplify and align reporting for overall Corporate Finance organization
  • Assist with managing the long-term planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, monthly actuals variance analysis and processes
  • Go-to person on several deliverables for Sox controls and internal external audits
  • Directs and delivers regular financial reporting and presentation materials to Executive Management to help evaluate and forecast business financial performance
  • Assist finance functions with Segments external reporting, GAAP and non-GAAP reporting, organic measures and compensation variance analysis
  • Directs and trains offshore finance resources and laisses with business, operations, controllership, and Centers of Excellence where necessary
  • As a thought leader, serve as a sounding board for strategic decisions for projects ranging from M&A integration to financial system implementation
  • Understands big picture organizational objectives and has an ability to successfully translate it into implementation
  • Actively promote a positive team environment. Participate in talent development opportunities including training and mentoring. Prioritize self-development and continuous learning responsibilities

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of FP&A experience (Forecasting, Planning and Analysis) in complex multinational organizations
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of guiding and engaging senior executives and other key collaborators, with the ability to build strong relationships with business partners. Ability to influence outcomes with the view of what is best for Aon, not just immediate area of responsibility.
  • Proficient with financial modeling tools including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Workday GL and TM1
  • Ability to independently resolve issues and problem solve successfully while working on multiple priorities
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and running large-scale projects in a matrixed environment
  • Strong business insight with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • High level of integrity, critical thinking, and results orientation

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $145,000 - $185,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
