Come join our team on a new contract supporting a joint customer Program Office responsible for acquiring the future GEOINT Ground Architecture that will provide the user community with capabilities in a modular, open architecture that provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information.

As a Senior Acquisition and Contract Support Specialist you will provide comprehensive acquisition and contracting expertise to support the program office in planning, coordinating, and executing acquisition strategies. This role is critical to ensuring that contracting activities comply with all legal and regulatory requirements while enabling the successful execution of mission objectives. You will work closely with program managers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to streamline acquisition processes and provide oversight for contract execution. Key responsibilitieswill include but are not limited to:

Acquisition Planning and Strategy

  • Develop, review, and manage acquisition documents, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Advise on acquisition strategies, including IDIQ, OTA, and other contract types as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with agency-specific acquisition policies and federal regulations, including the FAR and DFARS.

Contract Management and Support

  • Coordinate with government Contracting Officers to facilitate source selection processes, industry days, and contract award actions.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for acquisition activities, including reviewing and finalizing contract documents.
  • Track and monitor contract performance to ensure deliverables meet mission requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, engineers, and finance personnel, to align acquisition strategies with mission objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between government stakeholders and industry partners to clarify requirements and resolve acquisition-related issues.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all acquisition activities to ensure audit readiness.
  • Ensure that all processes adhere to agency-specific acquisition guidelines, with a focus on National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) policies.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate potential acquisition risks, including organizational conflicts of interest (OCI).
  • Provide recommendations to address challenges that arise during the acquisition lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Poly
  • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
  • Familiarity with IC and DoD acquisition policies and procedures, and proven experience working on IDIQ, OTA, and other complex contract structures.
  • Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant acquisition regulations.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills and the ability to align acquisition strategies with long-term program objectives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to navigate complex acquisition processes and ensure accuracy in contract documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior government and industry personnel.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving acquisition environment with shifting priorities.
  • Great customer teaming skills and demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams.

Strongly Desired Skills:

  • Former Contracting Officer or similar role with hands-on experience managing government contracts.
  • IC Financial Management experience
  • Experience with acquisition software tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and integration of complex mission systems
