Partnering with Aquent, you'll join a team dedicated to innovation and excellence, making a tangible difference in how a major player in the retail industry engages with its audience.

Our client is a leading company with a rich history, operating a diverse portfolio of beloved brands that touch millions of lives. They are committed to innovation and staying ahead in a rapidly evolving market, leveraging cutting-edge data and insights to inform their strategic direction. This role sits within their forward-thinking Marketing Intelligence organization, where you will be instrumental in shaping the audience strategies that fuel their continued success and market leadership.

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to step into a critical role focused on **Audience Insights & Segmentation**. You will spearhead the creation of data-driven insights, strengthening the approach to audience strategy and segmentation across all marketing campaigns. With the support of a dedicated team, you will empower holistic, modern media strategies and decision-making through a deep understanding of diverse audiences. Your expertise will be vital in developing insights in collaboration with internal resources, ensuring marketing campaigns are infused with data-driven intelligence and audience signals. You will be responsible for deriving comprehensive audience strategies by leveraging a multitude of first- and third-party data sources and platforms, serving as a key interface between the broader Audience team and brand-focused teams.

**What You'll Do:**

* Leverage first- and third-party data sets to generate audience strategies, deploy those learnings to refine audience segments, and accelerate effectiveness across the client's brands.

* Partner with internal brand counterparts to provide analytical expertise, enabling data strategy and insights that empower performance media initiatives.

* Utilize proprietary and syndicated tools to create and present analyses across the client's portfolio, conveying a clear audience story that translates into actionable insights and segments for marketing campaigns.

* Collaborate with a team of brand-aligned embedded resources to ensure audience insights and trends are effectively infused into brand vision, positioning, and growth strategies.

* Work closely with brand marketing leaders to ensure their audience needs are met and manage priorities effectively.

* Craft audience insights into compelling narratives that inform and drive key business decisions.

* Act as a key collaborator and resource for brands during the planning process, providing a 360-degree view of portfolio-wide insights to improve go-to-market approaches.

* Serve as the engine of the client's insight generation activities, supporting senior leadership in effectively communicating how to integrate learnings into media and marketing activities swiftly.

* Partner with external media agency partners to generate and infuse key takeaways into activation activities.

* Collaborate with the Audience Data team to bring together a holistic strategy across the client's portfolio and enable successful campaigns.

**What You'll Bring:**

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Previous experience as an Associate Director, Director, or head of consumer insights, ideally serving as a consultant or fractional leader.

* 8+ years of marketing experience with at least 5 years specifically in audience insights and/or social listening research.

* Proven senior experience leading and commissioning projects end-to-end and managing analysts or vendors to complete work.

* Demonstrated ability to build highly visual, impactful presentations quickly and efficiently, while coaching a junior team.

* Strong understanding of methodology, data, and systems best leveraged for research.

* Demonstrated ability to generate strategic insights from rigorous analysis.

* Experience in a highly complex, matrixed organization with a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive change.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and drive consensus across multiple teams and functions.

* Diverse-minded, curious, creative, and solution-oriented approach.

* Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to work independently, facilitate collaboration, build and develop teams, identify capability gaps, and implement professional development.

* Excellent planning skills to strategically advance company and brand-specific goals, optimize activities, prioritize key levers, and implement relevant processes.

* Deep subject matter expertise, establishing a strong presence with teams and the broader organization, and excellent presentation and written communication skills.
