Responsibilities

A BIM Integration Manager oversees our BIM projects whilst implementing Walter P Moore's digital workflows and data driven strategies, continually advancing our project delivery process and documentation. Works closely with Computational Designer and Technical Modeler teams, making sure the latest innovations are being used to their fullest potential. Plays a key role in leading efforts on

documentation and training, and represents the firm's digital prowess externally, whether at a project level, or to a wider audience. Performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

    Leads and manages the development and deployment of BIMs and model-related deliverables
  • Attends client meetings as appropriate to develop project-wide strategies for use and implementation of BIMs and works with client throughout project as appropriate
  • Develops, communicates, and maintains modeling standards across the Structures project delivery teams
  • Performs clash detection against reference models and leads internal team to track and resolve clashes
  • Oversees and guides the work of other modelers and designers on projects, and assists other modelers and designers regarding issues such as codes and software
  • Researches material and system options for
  • Uses Walter P Moore's selected tools and digital workflows to efficiently create and maintain BIM information and to interoperate with analysis, documentation, fabrication, and construction models
  • Researches and translates code and project-specific performance criteria into design solutions
  • Manages creation of design notes and
  • Periodically checks model content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to graphic and modeling standards
  • Reviews design task status against budget and schedule requirements
  • Attends internal & external project meetings
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technologies and their possible application to our projects
  • Works with appropriate office or practice area leadership to push model-based delivery forward, including the use of new software, new custom software components (families, macros, plug-ins, )
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in project delivery related to technology and data- driven processes
  • Develops project-specific tools and processes as needed
  • Develops and provides trainings on emerging techniques and processes
  • Performs Other Functions as Needed


Qualifications

  • 10 minimum prior years of experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Expert in BIM processes and concepts of parametric modeling, computational design, and interoperability
  • Expert knowledge in Rhinoceros, Revit, and corresponding visual programming interfaces required
  • Experience with Rhino.Inside, Tekla Structures, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerBI preferred
  • Experience in programming language (Python, C#, Javascript) preferred
  • Demonstrated career growth that includes experience working on design teams for a variety of building or project types
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate visually with data visualizations, diagrams, and 3D renderings
  • Ability to lead and mentor others, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong client-service attitude with ability to multi-task and accomplish multiple priorities
